Northern Paving has informed the Township that subcut operations on Hummingbird Drive are now expected to continue through Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

No work will occur over the weekends and the road will be open to traffic during that time.

The extension is due to the following delays:

• Tuesday, July 22: Work was significantly slowed after two unmarked fiber lines were encountered early in the day. While Century Link initially identified them as abandoned, two additional lines were later found. Extra caution was taken to avoid damaging these lines, which reduced productivity. It was later confirmed that all lines were indeed abandoned Century Link lines.
• Wednesday, July 23: No work occurred due to rain.
• Thursday, July 24: Production was slowed while crews worked to dry out the site in the morning.

Northern Paving will continue working toward completing this phase of the project by Tuesday, July 29, weather and site conditions permitting.
